We are very excited to announce a new single, available for free, to you, kind fan. “Love The Way You Walk Away” is a mid-tempo summery jam replete with banjos, casios and slide guitars - and some melancholy lyrics. We also hope to have a video done for this song very soon. Hope you guys dig it!
August 09, 2011As we are about to shift into high-gear with the album release and a big tour upcoming, we want to take a minute to thank some folks that made The Best of West tour so successful:
All of the fans from the entire Midwest and Mountain West that came out! You guys were so bomb, a pleasure to play for and so open to the new tunes we are strumming now. Thank you. Also a big merci to our dear friend Flavie Fontaine from France, whom you may have met at the merch table. Our new sound tech Martin Gonzales worked his tush off - we are very thankful we found this talented guy. John Totten, of Seattle’s The Quiet Ones, stage managed and truly impressed with his work ethic - thank you John, we owe you one. And of course, Kansas City’s own Sara Full, who managed the hell out of our tour. It’s all about management and all about Sara gettin’ er done!
Hope to see all you out there on the road this fall…
August 02, 2011Our last show of the tour brought us to the amazing pillared and vaulted Seasons Performance Hall. Once again, AgesandAges blew our minds, so I crushed all their heads. Seemed only fair. Thank you AgesandAges!!!
July 31, 2011Eric being interviewed in a seedy Sheridan, Wyoming hotel room by John Totten, the intrepid frontman of Seattle band The Quiet Ones.
July 29, 2011Strange things afoot as our caravan rolls on through my ancestral Iowan homeland. Lost in a labyrinth of corn fields we spontaneously pulled over and wandered as though lost only to come upon this wondrous apparition.
July 27, 2011I opened Rolling Stone to read about the neurotic zen of Larry David and the first page I came to had my face on it, looking back at me. Someone told me we had been mentioned but it still gave me a shock, a certain pleasant charge to see us in the formative rock magazine of my youth. And Erik’s head is positioned where Thom Yorke’s nether bits would be. Double honor!
