We had fun playing the old Mohawk Place in downtown Buffalo a couple nights ago. Good old fashioned dirty fun. A true honor to play the same stage as The Swillberries, F**k, Spacetrucker and, of course, Billy Bacon and the Forbidden Pigs. Holy cow Buffalo, do you know how to party!

Sadly said goodbye to the ridiculously talented Smoke Fairies. We’re going to deeply miss the haunting harmonies of those two skanky pigeons. Do yourself a favor and buy their records. In the meantime, we’re forging ahead to Philadelphia’s TLA after just playing the World Cafe on WXPN 88.5.

Here’s Dawes killing it in Louisville last night at Headliner’s, a former prohibition speakeasy. It was our first time there. Thanks so much to all who came out. We had a blast playing for you. See you next time!

A few of us were lucky enough to tag along with the Smoke Fairies today to Nashville where we backed them up on a few songs, recording in the legendary United Record Pressing plant. Great people…amazing place. Who could have known James Brown would make an appearance?!

Leaving Texas behind today whose scale and distances, while traveled by van, remind me of the fact that the discovery and subsequent dominance of oil began here barely a century ago. It might be worth considering adding a gas pump symbol to the old stars and bars.

The stars at night ARE big and bright in Texas. Thanks so much Dallas for being a part of tonight’s amazingly fun and moonlit show. I forgive you Texas for your bored and nosy cops that needlessly hassle us for our vagabond ways.
